Witch Hazel's Magic Wish
2019: Through the trick of nature and who came into heat during the right time, Wish became the lucky winner to be bred for 2020. She has remained easy to milk, handle and we hope that this year will be the first that she kids without any drama. She has remained as up and go-get-em as ever and seems to be working her way to herd queen!
2018: Wish was back into the milking line this year and will be milked through to next spring. She has slimmed down over the coarse of the year and has been producing a respectable amount. She is still the loud personality she has always been, but now that she is higher ranking in the herd and has a bit of maturity, she is a dream on the milking stand and fun to watch in the herd. Wish is still very food motivated, but has been maintaining a healthy weight and is still willing to push around other does if she thinks she is missing out on food or attention.
2017: This year was Wish's year off, and during this time she moved up in rank within the herd and gained a whole lot of weight. Wish is still a lovely animal and has grow into herself and has an body capacity that rivals any other of my does. Still, because of the excess weight she is carrying, Wish was excused from Linear Apprasial this year. We are putting her on a diet and breeding her next year in hope of a successful LA in 2018.
2016: After the scare of Wish's kidding early, things got easier. Wish was not particularly inclined to behave on the milking stand at first, but she grew into her job well until she became the announcer for the herd to let me know when I was LATE to Milking. Wish forgives easily, but I was always sure to hear her shouting the next day if I made the same mistake. She is a sweet girly, but more high strung than her mother, Athena. Still she has developed into a nice looking girl and is a lot of fun!
2015: Wish is a sweet tempered, laid back girl! She loves cookies, or being pet, or just following you around. She was the only one of this year's doelings that we decided to breed and can't wait to see her kids and how she does on milk testing!
