Annie (my love)
Annie was my very first goat, I got her from M's Sagebrush Acres and after a summer of bottle feeding her and teaching her to lead and playing with her, Annie died. It wasn't fair, the only reason my parents let me get her was because earlier the summer my elderly pony, Whirlwind had colicked and die. I was in the process of paying Annie off to my parents when she died. I had seen her the night before. The next morning, Norma, who was keeping her, came over to tell us the heart wrenching news. There was no sign of struggle, she was just gone. Five months old. I still miss her. Annie was my life that summer.
I dedicate this page to Annie and her memory. I hope I can some day find a kid who will fill the place in my heart where she left a gap. I hope no one else has to go through what I did. The only true love I'd known before Annie was my dog. I have come to the conclusion that if dog is man's best friend then goat is a girl's anchor to sanity.
